Courses can be tailored to meet your requirements, from a 2 hour update on the new regulations and code of practice to a full day course covering all associated legislation and management systems
Site Safety Awareness and Preparation for the Health and Safety Test -
Aimed at all site personnel this course covers: essential legislation, identification of hazards and risks, safe methods of working and good practice. The course gives a general overview for operatives and foremen and those managers who are fairly new to construction sites.
Training is carried out by means of tutorials, sample questions and continuous assessment.
Health and Safety for Directors, Self employed and Senior Managers -
Aimed at those with responsibility for formulating health and safety policy within a company and ensuring compliance with legislation. The course covers: legislation, management concepts, training assessments and the financial benefits of good health and safety culture within a company.
Training is carried out by means of tutorials and continuous assessment.
HSG 65, Risk Assessment, COSHH Method Statements One Day
Aimed at those responsible for producing construction risk assessments and method statements and ensuring that they are applied effectively. This course covers: legislation, hazard spotting and risk assessment, devising of safe methods of work, review, safety inspections and safety audits.
Training is carried out by means of tutorials, practical exercises and continuous assessment.
New Roads and Street Works Act for Managers One Day
Aimed at those with a managerial role in the utilities industry either with undertakers, street authorities or contractors. The course assumes that delegates either hold the supervisor’s qualification or have equivalent knowledge.
The course covers: Background to the Act and the various sections of the act, Regulations and codes of practice under the act, application of the CDM regulations to utilities work, good practice and risk assessment for work in highways.
